It's no secret that the presence of a cat in the house is a great way to deal with stress. However, in a densely populated Tokyo with a crazy rhythm of life, a pet is a luxury. In most apartments it is forbidden to keep animals, so for many citizens the only way to spend time in the company of the four-legged is to go to one of the many kotokafe. But this is also a weak substitute for a furry friend in the house.

However, the Japanese IT company Ferray Corporation still managed to find a solution. To help their employees cope with the surge, nine tailed animals from an animal shelter were settled in the office.

The result exceeded all expectations. The level of stress among employees decreased significantly, which had a positive effect on their productivity, and relations in the team strengthened, as everyone had a common “fluffy” interest.

Of course, not without cat pranks. Torn documents and broken wires are just the tip of the iceberg. Four-legged employees are not averse to making a couple of changes to the code, walking on the keyboard, or sleeping on the table during negotiations.
